    WISE MEN OF THE EAST

The wise men of the east emanate from the dandelion. Their spiritual seed is wonder and love. Man must need to study the recesses of this own mind rather than become engrossed with clever disputations from others. The root of the dandelion is long and deep, surrounded in darkness, but can withstand privations. To some, the three wise men may represent a range of mountains or a river. The seeds float away in the air to germinate somewhere. They represent friendly thoughts and good will. A spiritual nativity, life of extravagance or ease are illustrations that have no worth. Like money in the wrong hands. Many ignore these seeds but the wise are grateful for the blessing of nature and its wonders in a world full of entanglements. Painted in 1983.
